EU or EEA Family Permit is a visa category which is applied for those whose close or extended member of the family is an EU or EEA national.

If you are outside UK and your close or extended family member are in the UK, you might be able to apply for EU or EEA Family Permit Visa. There are different conditions that you must meet and these conditions vary depending on your situation.
Who Can Apply?
The applicants must qualify as a close or extended member of a family of an EEA or Switzerland national. There are other categories you might qualify for too. Here are the categories that you can apply for EU or EEA Family Permit in as long as you qualify as one the following:
- A primary carer of a child who is living in the UK and who is financially independent
- A child of a worker who formerly worked in EEA and you are studying in the UK or you are the primary carer of the child
- A primary carer of a dependent person or a British national child or a primary carer of a child who can fall into one of the categories given above.
